The Ayurvedic Regimen!

In this current Pandemic Situation when there is no sure shot or exact line of treatment available in different systems of Medicines, then why not to try some health promoting measures of Ayurveda, which acts as Immunomodulants.



These measures are integral part of Ayurveda system of medicine and mentioned as Daily Regimen, Seasonal Regimen, and Diet Principles in various classical texts of Ayurveda.


So if you want to keep yourself and your family healthy and safe, has to follow the following guidelines -

1. Wake up early in the morning at Brahma muhurtham or at around 6 a.m.

2. Pass the urge of urine and stool and never try to suppress these urges.

3. Go for brushing teeth or Dantadhavana with herbal toothpaste made up of pungent, bitter and astringent taste drugs.

4. Do Gandusha (Oil Pulling) by holding lukewarm sesame oil in mouth for approx 30 seconds to 1 minute.

5. Take one teaspoon (10gms) Chyavanprasha daily empty stomach.

6. Drink half - one glass lukewarm water if required.

7. Do Surya Namaskar/ Yogasan / Pranayam as per your strength.

8. Drink Aayush Kwath or add Ayush Kwath powder in tea,just before last boiling and ready to serve.

9. Do daily oil massage of the body by lukewarm sesame oil.

10. If daily oil massage not possible, at least do head, ear and foot massage at your convenient time.

11. Bath with lukewarm water or normal water according to the season

12. After bath,apply coconut, sesame or mustard oil inside the nostrils.

13. Go for breakfast between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

14. After that indulge yourself in your study, service, business or farming.

15. Lunch at 12 to 1 p.m. as per your digestive power.

16. Repeat Aayush Kwath or Aayush Kwath tea if required in the afternoon/evening.

17. Eat Seasonal fruit in the evening.

18. Dinner in between 8 to 9 p.m. ,Should be very light and easily digestible.

19. Go for sleep in between 10 to 11 p.m.

20. Hypothetically make three parts of your stomach while eating, one part for solids, one part for liquids and one part empty for digestion process.

21. Take water in small quantity as sip by sip except summer and autumn season, where water requirement is increased.

22. Food must include 5 Elements (Panchabhoutika) and 6 tastes (Rasa) as sweet, sour,saline, pungent,bitter and astringent. Because it's the whole some food which increases Immunity.

23. Day Sleep is contraindicated.

24. Only child,aged and diseased person and in summer season all are eligible for day sleep.

25. Use of Oil,Ghee and Honey as per Prakriti (Constitution) and Season is must to maintain Homeostasis.

26. Wise full observance of Bodily Physiological Factors as Dosha, Dhatu and Mala act as Main Pillars and Diet, Sleep and Celibacy as Supportive Pillars to maintain Homeostasis of the Body.
